That's very good, and it sounds promising. But, you're only playing one perfectly calibrated and matched note. Now, play all the factory presets with notes across the keyboard to do a real comparison. Then switch to panel mode and adjust the envelopes and change the filter settings while playing different notes.

My first synth. Hated selling it. What's more...it was the best Midi controller I ever had; simply used an 8 channel patch bay on Midi Out and I could select all my rack synths from one menu screen on the SQ80. Had great keybed, too.

Just a pedantic point, the 6-32 X 1/2" screws are not "six thirty-seconds". The #6 is the shank diameter and the #32 is the thread pitch, (32 thds per inch) and of course the 1/2" is the shank length.

I had a CS-80 about 20 years ago, even though it had just come from being refurbished at a famous tech place in SFO, it was generally a nightmare to keep in tune, and the newly installed Kenton MIDI Mod never worked properly. Would be great if this could be the start of building an updated version that didn't take 3 people to move! Great job....!

100% tuning stability is not always 100% desirable and can sound a little less warm. Definitely interested in seeing this evolve!
